Visiting The Gibberd Garden 2020

Wednesdays and Sundays – 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. until 25th October 2020

Last Entry 4:00 p.m.

Updated September 22nd – Limited Facilities Open.

We are pleased to have welcomed many visitors back to the garden and will continue needing your help to ensure that your visit is safe for you, the visitors, and for our volunteers.  We opened cautiously and will continue to follow all government guidance. We have updated our guidance for visitors since first opening which are listed below. Naturally not all our usual volunteers are able to help on open days, so please respect the limited number who are on duty and keep a safe distance from them.

Please do not visit if you think you may have coronavirus, or have been in touch with anyone who has the virus in the last 14 days.

We are now required by UK law to take information from visitors for NHS Track and Trace. We are displaying the Government QR code which is linked to the app. Alternatively, one member of a party can provide a name and contact number and the date and time of their visit on sheets provided. This information will be held in strict confidence and destroyed after 21 days.

The Gibberd Garden will enforce the rule of 6 to our visitors as required by UK law.

Payment is by card/contactless only.

For Your Safety:

Please keep to 2 metre social distancing and government advice at all times.

Please keep your children close during passing and narrow areas.

Please look out for signs around the Garden.

Parking is on the adjacent field at your own risk. (This field does not belong to the Trust.) This is weather dependent and it can be muddy.

Disabled spaces are on the signed grassed area just by the entrance gates.

There will be a clearly marked one-way system in and out of the Garden.

The Barn tearoom is closed, but light refreshments, including tea, coffee and ice cream are available to purchase and takeaway.  There are a limited number of tables and chairs provided, which we are unable to keep sanitised.  As is the case with the benches in the Garden.

We have a pop-up Shop with items displayed outside and from the Barn.

The House remains closed.

No picnics are allowed.

A few paths have been roped off where social distancing is not possible.  Please give way to people who are already on narrow paths.

The castle is restricted to one family at a time.
