Updated July 15th – more facilities open.
We are looking forward to welcoming you back, but will need your help to ensure that this is done safely for you, the visitors, and for our volunteers. We are opening cautiously at first. Naturally not all our usual volunteers are able to help on open days, so please respect the limited number who are on duty and keep a safe distance from them.
Please do not visit if you think you may have coronavirus, or have been in touch with anyone who has the virus in the last 14 days.
Payment is by card/contactless only.
For Your Safety:
Please keep to 2 metre social distancing and government advice at all times.
Please keep your children close during passing and narrow areas.
Please look out for signs around the Garden.
Parking is on the adjacent field at your own risk. (This field does not belong to the Trust.)
Disabled spaces are on the signed grassed area just by the entrance gates.
There will be a clearly marked one-way system in and out of the Garden.
The Barn tearoom is closed, but light refreshments, including tea, coffee and ice cream are available to purchase and takeaway. There are a limited number of tables and chairs provided, which we are unable to keep sanitised. As is the case with the benches in the Garden.
We have a pop-up Shop with items displayed outside and from the Barn.
The House remains closed for the time being.
No picnics are allowed, but please see What’s On for special Picnic Days in August.
A few paths have been roped off where social distancing is not possible. Please give way to people who are already on narrow paths.
The castle is restricted to one family at a time.
